Evil Is Doomed From The Start

Jesus' temptation reveals that evil is a choice
between truth(spiritual principle) and decep-
tion, which begins as self-deception before go-
ing wrong, mean, rogue, and dark.

Humans are always looking for short-cuts, and
evil promises to give them more, quicker, and
with less effort than Spirit's way of Principle.
The evil or unprincipled way renounces truth,
love, light, honesty, justice, and generosity as
the way to the happy, abundant life.

Evil isn't at all mysterious. It's always clear and
direct. You want something...here's the quickest
way to get it! No prayer involved. No ethical con-
cern. No feelings to consider. No rules stop you,
and every dark, evil plan, no matter how hare-
brained or ill-conceived, appears perfect and go-
od to go. That's the first deception.

Then evil never reminds the potential evil-doer
that he or she is not the center of the universe.
Too late the evil-doer discovers that his or her
plan is colliding with a world whose sun never
prospers things that are best kept in darkness.

Choosing evil is a futile attempt to unwind all
the goodness the Creator wound into His fail-
proof Life System. Evil is an "anti-Creation"
choice that isolates and makes one feel power-
less and captive. It deceptively promises power,
but to be opposed to the positive energies of
Creation is as pointless as hoping to win the
jackpot after having dealt God all the Aces.

Evil is parasitic--poverty of thought. True that
the brain activity generated by evil may be pro-
tracted and intense, but it's still impoverishing
thought if evil's deficiencies are overlooked and
its fruits spotted with rot.

Jesus pointed out the simplicity of overcoming
evil with good. Goodness is like the magic wand
whose touch melts the wicked witch. Good thou-
ghts, words, and deeds ever amplify God's Crea-
tion and are inarguably superior to thoughts,
words, and deeds that disadvantage everyone.
Jesus made it clear that changing our mind pur-
pose from dark to light is our key to God's realm.

Controlling evil is as simple as realizing that,
"My greatest advantage comes through working
with the Creative System in which I live, move,
and have my being."
