I wouldn’t be surprised if the person who wrote that critical comment believed what they wrote. No way to know their motive or level of knowledge since they’re anonymous, but I do know the colloidal silver field has been fully saturated with nonsensical claims about chemistry for decades by companies marketing whatever they had to sell, and the average layperson has had no way of knowing what to believe so then ended up just picking a storyline they chose to embrace.

That is no longer a problem. Tons of science exists to make things clear, and we present it very plainly.

Any first-year chemistry student, let alone a PhD in chemistry, fully understands what is clearly spelled out in the educational video we created that’s at the link in the original post, entitled “Understanding colloidal silver, ionic silver, and Opti-silver.”

I suspect that if the person who wrote that critical post watches that educational video they may very well re-evaluate their view of things and in good conscience post a retraction or modify their comment. And even if they don’t, well, I truly sympathize with the public trying to navigate through this arena. Believing what one hears from marketers over and over is entirely understandable. This is a bit complex and the chemistry eludes a lot of intelligent people, which is why marketers can get away with it.

I invite them and anyone else to review all the materials and make up their own mind from a position of being well-informed, and to even contact me for a candid, friendly, mutually respectful discussion. No person who has ever done that has remained stuck on the nonsensical marketing claims of colloidal silver players. Sorry to have to be the one to blow the whistle but people’s health and lives are at stake.

I’ve been interviewed on Good Morning America and NBC TV News as a leading expert in the field. All of my credentials for twenty years in the field are clearly laid out online, and are impeccable, along with that of the many doctors, PhDs, and other highly reputed experts on the team.

(By the way, the comment that it’s “100 parts per million” will seem less relevant after watching the educational video. As the video spells out, parts per million is virtually irrelevant in understanding or comparing colloidal or ionic silver products. Just as a cup of coffee or a small cup of expresso is the same in terms of caffeine consumed, and a glassful of beer or a shot of whiskey is the same in terms of alcohol consumed, concentration or “parts per million” of silver products is also irrelevant in terms of safety or efficacy. The video will make this and so much more very clear. Any company that says otherwise is either very misinformed or just misleading an unsuspecting public to sell their product.)
