I see Sonofthewind is back with his very misleading information about the sodium/potassium balance requires for health.

I would like to advise people to do a little checking into this before they follow advice like he is posting.

It is true that a dose of 4.5 grams of potassium will stop your heart, which is what they do before heart surgery, but that is a massive dose and not possible thru diet.

If I recall correctly, we calculated that one would have to eat 30 bananas in 6 seconds and that all of the potassiun in those bananas would have to enter the blood stream instantly in order to cause cardiac arrest. I do not know anyone that could eat that many bananas that fast, even if complete assimilation of all the potassium they contained was instant.
