You explained it well. Years ago I decided I would try to find out why the nations had their beginnings & endings,-in respect to their being one always, that the currencies accepted as base currency all others were valued in.

This was realized all must in the course of time accelerate in value & then depreciate in value with all others conforming in tandem to appreciation or in depreciation to the standard value represented. this is true or else we would be still using the Sigloi of The Tower of Babel as dominant currency, instead of all the intervening money market capitols of the world, with the IMF's dollar now supported only by the producing ability of its citizens to pay the credited interest on the debt;

This is what caused the migrations out & into other more less burdened civilizations for a repeat of the most successful to adopt the coming indebted system situation.

I like (Deut 15 vs. 6,) as Moses admonished the Isra-elites "never to borrow, only lend to the nations,"-& I would imagine air credits as to gold-silver-jewels "Borrowed" earlier from their host used to monetize the air credits loaned at 10-1,-from Egupt & the Pharoah.
