: I guess it was bound to happen, but I must admit I never
: imagined anything would be done on such a large scale.

: The Buddhists have decided to build a statue. Not just any
: statue. No, this statue is going to make a lot of waves and
: raise eyebrows around the world.

: Apparently, engineers in the UK were asked to make the world’s
: largest statue. The 500-foot statue will be made in Buddha’s
: image.

: However, it will not be a simple Buddha statue. Rather, this
: statue will be called Maitreya Buddha. Of course, Maitreya
: is the name visionaries have said is the Antichrist.

: To give you some perspective, the new statue will be three
: times the size of the Statue of Liberty. It will be built
: at Bodhgaya in India. Bodhgaya is considered a place of
: enlightenment.

: The cost of the statue will be hundreds of millions of
: dollars. Funding is from international sources gathered
: under the name Maitreya Pro-ject.

: A spiritual advisor to the project, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, said,
: "Since Maitreya Buddha is the representation of the
: love of all Buddha’s, building the statue can be of great
: benefit to all living beings." We will see the
: completed statue in 2005. It will sit on a throne 17
: stories high and it will house a mammoth temple. The feet
: of the statue will rest on a lotus.

: A UK company that was chosen to design and build the prototype
: is
: called Casting Development Center. "The scale of the
: project and logistics are just mind blowing," said
: Steve Oxley, project development manager at CDC.

: Everyone connected with the project is concerned. The weather
: is a problem in Bodhgaya and their fear is that the statue
: will be damaged by the elements. Corrosion is a problem
: during the rainy season. Extreme temperatures are another
: critical factor. The differences in temperatures during the
: day and at night will more than likely cause the giant
: statue to expand and contract as much as a foot a day.

: The late Tibetan Buddhist master, Lama Thubten Yeshe dreamed
: of
: the statue. His dream was championed by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
: Good things are supposed to be the benefit from building the
: statue.

: “By building the statue so big, it creates much more good
: karma,”
: said the Maitreya Project.

: Buddhist teachings say that building holy objects reaps the
: merits related to the numbers of atoms the holy object
: consists of, which on this scale would be enormous.

: The teaching also says, “By building it in the Bodhgaya, the
: place of enlightenment-–many people will come to see it and
: will accumulate merit, leading them to temporary happiness
: and ultimate enlightenment.”

: No doubt, this statue may be one of the beasts the Antichrist
: will command the world to worship. It is named for him and
: the grandiose scale of the statue matches his ego.

: With this latest news, it confirms we are still making
: progress in the direction of the final days. The timing of
: the project’s completion is indeed fascinating. If some
: visionaries are correct, this would put the unveiling of
: this super beast near the culmination of prophecy. R

: THE MESSENGER

There was a world teacher. His name was Jiddu Krishnamurti. He was proclaimed the world teacher in 1912. However, in 1929 Krishnamurti gave up this title and the organization that he headed, "Order of the Star in the East.

Krishnamurti dissolved the Order along with his title of world teacher. I Quote an excerpt from his speech he gave for this occation.

"Again, you have the idea that certain people hold the key to the Kingdom of Happiness. No one holds it. No one has the authority to hold that key. That key is your own self, and in the development and the purification and in the incorruptibility of that self alone is the Kingdom of Eternity."
