Dear Readers,

I have received about 20 replies from people who love Rumor Mill and want to see it continue.

As you can see, over 1100 people have read what I wrote, and only 20 have replied. This is about the same amount who click on the ads.

I have asked Zapper if he will keep the webpage updated for a few weeks while I take a vacation and decide what I am going to do.

At the moment, the donations and ideas from the 20 people who responded are not enough to make a difference and keep Rumor Mill up and running.

Many of the people who responded asked me to turn Rumor Mill into a monthly newsletter or magazine. I know there are many people who do not have access to computers who want to read Rumor Mill. I have about 3,000 addresses from people who have followed my story for years, and of course I have the old Rumor Mill magazine mailing list.

However, I know that it takes at least half of the subscription cost, maybe even more, to keep a newsletter going out each month. The cost of the postage keeps going up. The cost of the printing, and the work involved in sending out a newsletter is close to staggering for one woman!! I know, I have done it before!!

If someone who reads this knows anything about advertizing, I know this is the way that successful magazines make it. I also know that if we can bring in monthly commitments from advertizers, we can offer them not only the magazine, but the webpage... and if I proceed with a radio show, which has been an idea on the back burner for over a year now, then an advertizers would have three choices of where to advertize, depending on what their budget was! Do we have any ad salespeople in the audience?

There is another way Rumor Mill could go out as a monthly newsletter, with little or no work on my part. This would be as a magazine printed by one of the print on demand publishers. I have not yet checked to see if any print on demand publisher would be willing to do this. If you know a Print on Demand publisher, can you ask if they have this option?

On another subject:

In my job, I have 65 reports that have to be written this week. Needless to say, I will have NO time to respond to anything regarding Rumor Mill.

Zapper will be handling things... hopefully! I don't know what email address he wants to use, so... until you see a post from Zapper, don't send him any email!

Give me a few weeks to sort things out, and then I will make a decision regarding Rumor Mill.

If enough people agree to help, so that ALL the duties don't fall on me, maybe it can stay up until we can figure out how to make enough money to hire me AND a few helpers!!

As you all can see, we have enough readers. We just need to figure out how to make money!

Please remember, I have to move... and with the cost of rent and houses in my area... the task is daunting!! I don't know how long it will take me to find something! I just hope I find it before the sale of my complex goes through and I am given a 30 day notice!
