I am so sorry to hear about Hobie. He was Rumor Mill News. I wondered what happened to the new posts. They were marked as NEW and there was a number showing how many post were new. All that stopped about a week ago. It is as if part of RMN died with him.

(We're working on a fix for that :-)

So sad. I remember Hobie for what seems like decades. I don't know how long I've been reading RMN, but I think it was within 2-3 years of it's founding. So what year was that? And when did Hobie come on board.

I definitely appreciated how Hobie kept everything running. I know that took a lot most of the time.

Dear Rayelan and colleges

We are very sad to learn of Hobie's death!!

I noticed having sent him some communications and an new year greeting that he did not answer, he was always very spontaneous to respond, we thought he had left.

Having communicated with Raylan due to our work, when I asked to join the forum, it was Raylan who remembered our work and asked Hobie, to allow us to post. That was some 24 years ago ++ ago.
How is Rayelan?

I'm so sorry for your loss of Hobie for he is irreplaceable. How many many times did he add a correction for me when I spelled it wrong on Rumormillnews.com.

But as good a person as he was I'm sure he is in good hands now. God Bless Hobie forever.

I will really miss him! He brought to my attention some beautiful music on YouTube which I watch and/or listen to all the time. He appeared to be such a gentle soul from the selections he posted and the wide variety of music he presented.
