It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Rayelan and I inform our Rumor Mill readers of the death of our colleague and friend, Hobie, who passed away a week ago.

Jeff had been suffering from COPD and heart disease for several years, yet continued to keep Rumor Mill News online through tech support. His spirituality, humor and love for music was known by all. As per this very private man's wishes, he was cremated, and had no memorial service.

Hobie has been here for as long as I can remember. Firstly as an agent, then later he moved into the position of administrator of the front page, and handling the tech support for our website. Many of our readers have had long term friendships with him.

Dear readers, please join us in raising your glasses in a toast to one of the sweetest, kindest, most intelligent men that I've known. As a co-worker, he is irreplaceable. We will all miss him more than words can express.

Fly high, my friend, and come and visit us now and then. I know you'll be watching over us.
