All of our animals have extensive off spring. We have several generations of goats, cats, dogs, chickens and ducks. Many goat people I know have been breeding goats. Some since they were children themselves.

So, untold goat generations, all of us using ivermectin.
The entire time.

As I mentioned previously, the only negative symptom commonly known by us, is parasites becoming immune to the use of the ivermectin, which causes some dairy goat producers to quit using it because it is ineffective. Not because it is having a deleterious effect.

If something is killing our goats, we notice. It costs a lot to raise them. Too much to use a product which causes harm. There are risks involved with everything in life. I am sure ivermectin isn't a perfectly harmless drug and that is CAN have some effects. But in this particular product, unlike many other products in life, the benefits have outweighed the risk involved. Goats can and do die from parasites quite regularly. Not so much from being treated for those parasites with ivermectin.
