I expected this kind of response from pro-Confederate activists. You mentioned many different subjects and I wont address them all. But I like your passion and stand for liberty. The bottom line is we no longer live in a nation where we can march on the streets and have rallies to voice old fashioned American values. The socialists and ultra liberals are violent now and a public rally would end up becoming a riot. In my view we have to recognize our condition in the country and avoid confrontation.

It is no longer a matter of pride, courage or bravery to stand for liberty and what we feel is right. It would be an act of suicide for yourself and your family to take part in rallies and marches that goes against what the ultra liberals are standing for now. But, by all means if that is what you want to do - go for it. Through the years I had many contacts that shared those views and they ended up in prison for many years - for standing for what they described as "Constitutional rights". We need to use wisdom and avoid confrontation now. We can still make an impact by educating others quietly and voting in new politicians that will be balanced in their views. We have come to a time in our society where George Orwell's statement, commonly attributed to him, has come true: "In a Time of Universal Deceit — Telling the Truth Is a Revolutionary Act"

I don't believe in violence or confrontation where people can be in danger. The police cannot protect people today if they go against the mobs that are willing to take part in violence.
On another topic: the democrats 150 years ago and those today are not even close to being the same. So trying to blame today's

democrats for slavery, etc. just doesn't work. Both parties had a totally different political stance than they have today.

I wrote this article to help clarify some issues and bring across a viewpoint of rational thinking and peace so people can avoid being a victim of blind rage the ultra left is dishing out today. We live in very dangerous times and we can't take these confrontations lightly, our lives and reputations could be at risk. And, it is not a matter of courage to stand for what is right, it is about exercising wisdom and operating with discretion and common sense.
