Art historians: Robin Hood damages Dubrovnik!

Society of Croatian Art Historians on Thursday strongly condemned "reckless attitude towards the monumental center of Dubrovnik for the purposes of the film Robin Hood: Origins", adding that it is "excessive exploitation and shameful degradation of one of the most important Croatian monuments to attribute the World Heritage".

Among other things, it criticized that Stradun while setting the scenes, was burdened by heavy vehicles, trucks, cranes, as during the recording time over it passed horses with unprotected hooves, while completely masked Posat was covered with gravel and sand.

"Structures were without protection measures put on the walls of buildings, but the finale was the scene of the ignition of so called willage, which is shown as a special effect, but actually it was a controlled fire," they say, adding that after shooting at the two scenes, the ways to reach them and a number of buildings, remained multiple damages of which, they say, are testifying architects from Dubrovnik.

But now all there is all right. Robin Hood production will pay some more, and new crew is coming to film next 007 movie at Dubrovnik.

And Dubrovnik and Split airports have excellent links with the most of the Europe, and thus America.
