There is an intense public battle by you, against the way you were raised. Maybe he wasn't raised so unkindly? Maybe he is unable to be empathetic. Maybe he never rebelled nor had to wage war against being treated unfairly? Maybe he isn't able to see both sides. Maybe if he could, he would see truth.

But, even if he can't today, he just might be able to tomorrow...

Empathy can go both ways.

: I recently had an interesting email exchange with a man who
: thinks my current take on reality, or the way I look at
: things, and my writings on rumormillnews about my current

: . . , is leading people astray (and for all I know, he may
: be right).

: Obviously, I could be full of devitalized food awaiting
: elimination. In other words, I could be wrong.

: I asked him to share with me what it is he knows, from
: experience, but not to share what he believe or has faith
: in, since I know that hope, belief, faith and feelings can
: be misconstrued (in as much as they are tools to acquire
: knowledge, and not substitutes for knowledge). He said that
: he would not “cast pearls before swine,” and that he had
: not written to me to share his truth, but rather to inform
: me of my errors in thinking, and, to try and get me to stop
: writing falsehoods. At the end of our brief exchanges, he
: told me not to write him again.

: At this point I could make assumptions about the writer, but
: that is worthless and not my point in sharing this.

: Only an immature or foolish person would accept, without
: proof, another person’s take on reality. A person may
: certainly hope, believe, have faith and feel that what
: another person says is true, but a wise person takes that
: information and tests it in the fire of experience. If the
: information proves true, then it’s useful.

: Everything I share is ‘food for thought’, nothing more.

: Most of the folks who write me are probably smarter than me
: and wiser, and I love that, since I’m all about learning.

: With the above said, I will continue to write my current
: ‘truths’, ‘truths’ that I have experienced, that have great
: value in the fire of MY experiences. If they didn’t, I
: wouldn’t share them.

: And of course as I have written often before, I write for my
: own pleasure, sometimes silly and goofy stuff, other times
: less goofy stuff, and sometimes ‘enlightening’ stuff.

: Certainly the responsibility of whether to entertain anything
: I share, is with the reader. Wisdom has her children, and
: certainly there is wisdom among rumormillnews readers.

: And, unless it is proven to me, by experience, that NOT
: receiving all things with thankfulness, has value, I will
: continue to enjoy the fruits of receiving all things with
: thankfulness.

: AND, unless it is proven to me by experience, that NOT being
: at peace (or going with the flow or accepting things in the
: moment that cannot be changed in the moment because it HAS
: happened) has value, I will continue to NOT kick a flat
: tire, not damn it to hell, and not curse ‘God’ or yell at
: the occupants in the car, and instead I’ll just change the
: tire, and thereafter, work on not having a flat again.

: And, and, I will continue to share what I know, from
: EXPERIENCE.
