I totally agree with Nemesis.

That said, my wife and I have adopted a way of assimilating other people's experience. Why would someone assimilate other people's truth? To me, it is a matter of time and one cannot have all the experiences that are possible in one life. I'm all about not repeating another go around. Therefore, when I read someone's helpful experiences and it seems like something that might be true, I use what I call a puzzle piece analogy. I think deeply about the core of the matter I am considering as to whether it has validity or not. I apply it in my mind to my heart and if there is a spot in my heart where that piece of the puzzle slides into place and fits just like a puzzle piece should, I receive this feeling of comfort from my heart.

After that, the other person's experience is accepted as valid until something might come along to jar it loose if it actually wasn't a neat fit. In the past, I cannot remember using this technique and having to cast the old piece out. The heart knows.
