The lazarus tale came from Much older Egyptian tale of El-Azar-us or Horus rising. Just as much of the old testament is found in more ancient Sumerian tales. The creation story and Noah, for instance.

Is the story about the raising of Lazarus by Jesus in the New Testament Gospel of John a remake of the mythical resurrection of Osiris by Horus in the ancient Egyptian texts?
