That should be impossible. The earth should be causing some movement to force the moon to start spinning to some degree.

And what I also find very difficult to believe is there is no other known object in our solar system that does not spin except the moon we see in our skies.

so out of all the planets and their moons as well as the millions of asteroids in the belt to which all spin or tumble in some measure.

Our moon is the only object that does not spin at all and as far as we know never has.
