I think he was saying all disease _processes_ begin with oxidative stress and inflammation. He never said those might not be caused by infectious agents, and he did specifically mention "toxins", which would include toxic waste products of bacteria, etc.

And I think we'd all agree that _stress_ can be a significant part of the equation, including the stress from being told, "Hey, look - you've got this disease for which we doctors know of no cure; have a nice day!" :)

I think he's saying, "Instead of looking for a medical magic bullet for what seems to be a unique and distinct named disease situation, perhaps address the 'common denominator' of all disease processes, namely, oxidative stress and inflammation."

Recently we had a post, an hour-long interview with a fellow who, among other things, said they had the cure for 'AIDS' before the 'AIDS' vector was set loose.

He said the cure was "a lot of buffered Vitamin C delivered by IV" - something that many 'alternative' practitioners have by now discovered on their own, though they likely don't use the word 'cure' when they talk about it - maybe "therapy" or "treatment". Why? Because we've been told 'AIDS' is about a virus, and no one is likely to think "Vitamin C killed that darned virus".

Given all the stuff that's wrong in our world right now - nutrient-poor food doused with glyphosate, continual air pollution, electromagnetic wave stresses, etc., etc. - I don't think anyone who is awake would say it's the victim's fault. Instead, I think he's only saying there are things we can do about disease processes, without hoping and praying for a medical magic bullet.
