The identity that is listed in the Syrian passport found on one of the perpetrators of the assassination in Paris could correspond to that of member of the Syrian army of Bashar al-Assad, who was slain couple of months ago, reports on Tuesday Agence France Presse from sources near the investigation.

The passport is on the name of Ahmad Mohammad, born on 10 September 1990 in Idleb, in northwest Syria. It was discovered near the body of one of the jihadists who blew himself up late Friday near the Stade de France in northern Paris.

All the elements suggest that it could belong to a member of the army loyal to the Syrian president, said the source, who believes that due to this fact there are two hypotheses: that the passport was modified or that it is a forged document with the assumed identity.

This passport had a migrant registered on 3 October on the Greek island of Leros, where he arrived from Turkey.

This migrant, whose true identity has yet to be confirmed, left Greece on an unknown date and was registered after a few days in Croatia.

In connection with the case of this passport Germany has warned of the possible moves of the Islamic state by which it wants to "politicize and radicalise the question of refugees in Europe."

Having found this passport, which allegedly belonged to a refugee leader of the extreme right in France, Marine Le Pen demanded on Monday an "immediate suspension of receiving refugees" in that country.
