The Windows 10 'wifi sense' idea is a complete FUBAR.

I agree with others that this is a real problem. The notion that this software driver can determine the login password from a wifi router overcomes the whole reason to have a password in the first place.

This is not a convenience. It removes convenience, in that others can now invade a private owners' router and then proceed into the LAN, and therefore bypass the routers' firewall, is not going to make security conscious users happy. Especially in the light of the well-known and multi-decade proven insecurities present in every form of Windows since the beginning in 1986. Windows is the only system where an malware package is a requirement. Ordinary users of other OS's have that usage a a optional layer, and is not needed by most users. LINUX and Macosx users in the majority, rarely use malware protection, with total safety.

No other system on Earth has so many basic vulnerabilities. Even Microsoft points out that the basic foundation of Windows-10 is the NT-2 modules that showed up in Windows-7, and is also used now in Windows-8, Windows-8.1, and now Windows-10. Looks like Windows-10 users are gonna have a long growth-pangs cycle, and many will have soul-searching to do. And then there's the matter of Windows-10 replacing and over-riding a users' Internet Browser preference automatically. Mozilla's complain is absolutely valid.

For example, ad-blocker software that works fine in Firefox, can be installed also just fine in Internet Explorer-11, and have no functionality at all because many extensions that work well in competing Browsers, are non-functional entirely in IE-11. One can only imagine how Windows-10 Browser 'Edge' will muck this up even further.
