Seems strange... what was the problem associated with not selling on EBay for a long time? I don't see why the reason would matter, any dormant account should be easy to reactivate. I'd think EBay would just need to confirm it is the account holder and not someone else hacking and hijacking a dormant account.

I would not provide medical records to EBay... and be sure it was actually EBay agents you spoke to. Hopefully things get resolved.
