I talked to a friend of mine the other day and she was all a twitter about her adventures out and about in Alberta here joining protests and generally supporting the truckers here in Canada. She and her hubby were all over north and south and said she had a blast and saw and felt so much love out there from all involved. It was hard to get a word in edgewise as she was so exuberant about it. I just saw a breaking report about the Border crossing here in the south and the country folk have the cops surrounded apparently ! Happened just after midnight here 2/3/22.
So after seeing all this unfold over the last week plus ... I am feeling sad but more so embarrassed as a proud patriotic Canadian that I am not out there on the front lines at least here in my home province ... even ashamed to a degree.
Just as all this was gearing up over a week ago ... we had a sewer backup in my condo complex and 12 units were flooded including mine. Unfortunately for me ... I inherited a basement used to store STUFF for decades ... it is literally packed to the ceiling in some places. So the restoration crew wanted it all gone so they could disinfect and pressure wash the place ... I said WHAT !!! So there was a dumpster brought in which I was not able to use for a whole week as it was full to overflowing everyday by the time I had my coffee.
So I have a bit of an excuse not to be out in supporting our cause. So I thought what can I do ?

Hmmmmm ..... well, I'm a musician songwriter, why not write a song ... but better yet I found an old song that I can rewrite the lyrics and save me some time in the studio which is down due to computer OS crash. Still haven't reinstalled all my crap. I also realized I have several more old tunes that are without lyrics to date ... maybe can use a few of those as well.
I also think I may do a rewrite of the Rodeo Song ALL ABOUT Trudeau ... you piss me off ... U effin JERK ! YA get on ma NERVES !
Problem is I still have lots of work to do cleaning out the basement and my sister just informed me we have an order to make 50 sandbags for the dang Camera Store ! When it rains it pours ! And on top of all that, I still have to make a living repairing electronics ... had a bunch of calls and jobs come in and have to get to that as well ... sheesh !
I'll be sure to post here as soon as I can get a tune out !
