I like to think that's a good positive exercise, your film-watching in the dark, rather than accept the modern psychologists' assessments of regression. In fact it doesn't necessarily have to be regression at all. It can be something that puts you in touch with the positives you had in your life sort of rejuvenating them, positive characteristics, habits, memories, etc.. And, what could be better to stimulate good pheromones and vibes?

To a great extent it's the fashion of the world, the trends especially brought on by advertising and promotions that pull us away from our original good selves.

Note: I think many of the corporations which held sway back in the thirties, forties and fifties still had members on their boards who had families and cared about family values. In fact, even the Linebrook Corporation, which released 'From The Terrace', with all it's sultry behavior implied in the theme, had a bottom line lesson about how far to go for the big 'rolltop desk' at the big job while turning one's back on the family, etc.. Who would have thought they could take John O'Hara's coarse content and style and create something so resourceful to remind folks of what it feels like to be in a home where love is?
