The Superb Actor David Janssen 3-4 Packs a Day - Dead at 48 - Military B&E Programs

You might have noticed my postings of actor David Janssen's 'The Fugitive' episodes here in the past. David was a really superb actor who, reportedly, drank hard, worked hard, played hard and smoked up to four packs of smokes a day and died at age 48.

I had wondered what happened to him that early AM when his wife found him choking, as she put it, while having tried to eat some cookies which she had hidden in a drawer since he was on a diet. He had apparently found them and had a heart attack after eating part of them.

I don't know if the cigarettes killed him for sure, but he was very tired after doing several years of 'The Fugitive' series and they, reportedly, had to cancel it so he could rest some. He was in front of the camera on most every scene and worked very hard on that one.

'B&E' stands for 'breaking and entering' which appears to be a crime for some to commit, but under new D.H.S. rules may not be considered a crime if some can get away with it.

So fans will probably always wonder if David simply worked himself to death, and if the cigarettes did it, or if he was poisoned by some intruder who found the cookies, knowing he or someone would eventually eat them.
