Yes, I was introduced to eating dandelions by a Chinese family that I was boarding with in Toronto in 1968, while going to Devry tech school. As I came from a farming family that considered danelions as weeds, at first I was taken aback. But the man and lady of the family explained to me that dandelions very good for the body. The flower part is not as bitter as the stalks.

They grew a batch in the back yard, very colourful. Unfortunately, and unknown to the family, a neighbour sprayed his back yard for weeds, and the spray drift came over into the family's back yard.
