The Hidden Symbolism of David Icke?
Firstly, I do not know David Icke, nor have I ever met him. What I have written therefore should not be taken as a verdict on David Icke, the man, nor as a judgement on his intentions. All I can do is point to disturbing signs at www.davidicke.com (perhaps it is significant that even the address forces us to type a profane word) and in particular the portal site which greets you each time you visit the site. Before you read on, if you are not familiar with the page, it might be useful if you visit it now.
Secondly, they are only a few miscellaneous thoughts on the subject, but I think they may prove important nonetheless.
The first thing to note is that there is a lot of articles on the site exposing the power of symbolism and detailing the power of symbolism to influence the mind on a subconscious level when the meaning is implied by the symbolism, but the viewer does not recognise it at a conscious level. The real meaning is hidden behind the symbolism. So let us, in this spirit, examine the symbolism behind David's portal page.
It occurred to me that this portal is none other than a perverted representation of the image of the 7th Angel of the Apocalypse (as described in Chapter 10 of Revelation), which is an image I know well and one that has profound significance for our age. For the aspiring truth-seeker this angel stands as one of the guardians of the threshold, permitting entry from the earthly realm to the spiritual realm. (For a better description see my Easter post on the 7th Angel, entitled 'Humanity at the Threshold').
Let us examine how we enter the site. There appears to be a cunning trick involved in entering the site. From our point of view we are clicking the right-hand pill and spurning the left, but from David's point of view we are clicking what could represent David's left hand - are we being asked to approve David's left-handed path? The pill we accept is red, the Luciferic colour, the mystical colour. David's picture with the messianic expression leads to a suspicion that David has succumbed to the temptation of egotism, a Luciferic temptation. To enter the site we click the red pill, the Luciferic colour; Lucifer, who wishes for man to lose himself in fantasy, fantasy such as reptilian bloodlines and shape shifting.
There is another apparent psychological trick. Whereas most sites only have an 'enter' button, we are here seemingly given the choice to 'enter' or 'leave' the site, but no one is going to leave the site they have just arrived at, so all click the enter button - in doing so we have not just entered the site, we have given our approval to the site, we have chosen to enter it when we were given the chance to reject it, we have chosen to follow Icke's lead. This again points to egotism, everyone who visits the site is not simply browsing, but has given their approval to Icke's path.
The portal to the site is a parody of the 7th angel of the Revelation. In 'choosing' to accept the offer of the red pill and so enter the site one is purposely reminded of the words of the angel - "Take it, and eat it". But what we are asked to eat in this case is not the book of wisdom, but a pill, with its unsavoury connotations of drugs - and drugs are a Luciferic temptation, they provide an escape to another world and can lead to hallucinations, compelling images with no objective reality, delusions. The message of our entry pill is that we are to be shown "how deep the rabbit-hole goes", which would be fine if we were then led upwards again to the light.
We are not given the middle way of Christ to steer between the Luciferic Red and the Ahrimanic Blue, we are obliged to choose the luciferic entrance, all under the watchful gaze of the Christ-like Icke. Icke is position so that he is not clothed in the Sun, but is obstructing the light of the Sun, his own text under his image is yellow is mockery of this. The Angel represents a Guardian of the Threshold; David is there to oversee us as we cross into his realm. Again, Luciferic mysticism can be obtained by drug use and what is it we have to click - the red capsule. Through the red pill we enter the self-proclaimed fantasy world of David Icke. The light on the two pills, I think I am correct in saying, implies that the light source is coming from David Icke's picture. The two windows of light also form two inward-looking eyes that look upwards. Maybe this is out of respect for the Christ-like Icke above them.
In the site, which we have agreed to enter we find truth, along with lies and half-truths, but the fear is that subconsciously the combination of truth (which only influences us because we have not studied genuine teachers previously and thus it strikes us as an exciting new revelation of the spirit) and our decision to enter the site, will cause us to view the lies and half-truths as being true as well, thus leading to confusion and the propagation of more lies.
The poem by David implies that the truth appears to be insane, which further implies that it cannot be questioned by us, only unthinkingly accepted, for it contradicts reason. Again, this is a very Luciferic point of view, that spiritual visions must not be examined by the thinking mind. But, as Saint Thomas Aquinas believed, although Revelation lies beyond and above the ordinary, thinking mind of man, it never contradicts or opposes reason; the ability to think being our greatest natural attribute. Rudolf Steiner actually took this further and said in thinking itself lies the beginning of clairvoyance, that the rational spirit can itself be lifted into the realm of the spirit; we may cognise and understand the spiritual world.
David also speaks of entry into "Wonderland", but this is a surprising description of the site. It says to us inside are wonders, but what does David believe to be the wonders contained therein - the descriptions of Satanism, abuse, the ways in which men are deceived? The message is also very messianic and, hence, egotistical - "Remember that all I am offering is the truth" - egotism with mock humility. And if we reject David we are dismissed with "you believe whatever you want to believe" - there is no truth other than that which is contained in my site. But what is within the site is described as "Wonderland", and "the story" - it is described in fictional terms. It is admitting this and yet still people believe! The wording is significant, as the site is in key parts a Luciferic flight of fantasy, the type of flight which can be achieved through the consumption of drugs. Is it coincidence that we are asked to click on the pill, the red pill?
Then finally the quotes are attributed to the film the 'Matrix' which doesn't make one feel any easier, particularly when one knows there are articles by Michael Hoffman linking the Columbine massacre to Mind control and the 'Matrix', one of which is even entitled 'The Columbine Matrix'.
To end I would like to state that I have always had an uneasy feeling about David. I saw a certain affinity between David's teachings regarding shape shifting and reptilian blood and the teachings propagated by Lewis Farrakhan regarding the mad black scientist who created the white race, which helped to perpetrate the ignorant bigot's view of black people being mentally inferior to white people. I then learnt that there were allegations that David's teachings had a similarly detrimental effect, that they had prevented cases of SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse) being taken seriously, as when the victim started espousing Icke's teachings the authorities would consider the victim to be delusional. And Lewis Farrakhan was, of course, an FBI plant who replaced Malcolm X, who was becoming increasingly human and cosmopolitan in his outlook and was beginning to form a bridge between black and white people, whilst Farrakhan drives them apart.
Finally, having said all of the above please do not use it to make a personal judgement on David, as, unless there exists evidence to the contrary we must believe that David's intentions are honourable and that, like many others, he is a victim of deception in the Age of Lies. On a personal level two people I greatly admire and feel a close affinity with are Annie Besant and Friedrich Nietzsche. This is despite the fact that both were responsible for spreading a degree of deception and untruth throughout the world - in daring to judge a person it is their character and intentions which matter most, not the veracity of their teachings, as all of us may fall into error at some point in our lives. Their teachings must be judged on their own strengths and weaknesses.
The real danger lies in the fact that people will confuse good intentions with good teachings and the problem is that half-truths are more damaging than outright lies, as people can easily be caught up in believing half-truths to be the whole truth and they should really be termed 'half-lies' not 'half-truths'.
What can be said without reservation is that the portal bears manifold marks of the influence of demonic powers. We are dealing with an anti-Christian site which no doubt has been influenced by the power of the coming incarnation of the Spirit of Deception - maybe David has not been strong enough up to now to be fully conscious of what is happening here. Is it believable that David Icke, whose site contains a large section on symbolism is not aware of the subconscious message his portal page is sending out? It is possible that this is this case and that David is being manipulated by 'hidden hands' - was it not Luther who said "the common folk never know the devil, even when he has them by the collar".
But is it any wonder that many people seem to believe what he says when his portal is structured so that he is presented as Christ to our subconscious, his face replacing the light of the Sun in the original image? Only by bringing things out into the light can the spell be broken.
Furthermore, even all the intentions in creating the portal page were pure, it shows David's naiveté in allowing such a detailed negative interpretation to be possible and brings into question the extent to which he is really able to penetrate behind the deceptions of the age.
