Dear Hobie,

I have to ask: What was the intent of the original article? Was it to once again make us consider that a particular genus of human being is the 'scum of the earth'? Or, was it to bring an interesting fact of history to light? I rather suspect the former which immediately makes the story suspect.

On the other hand, those that joined in likely are speaking directly about such stories coming from any manner of society throughout history. They have given a certain kind of credibility that the original story at least exists, but provide no proof to its veracity.

The fact is, we have all heard violent stories about past civilizations that have committed any manner of atrocity. But here is the real question I have: Are any of these atrocities WORSE than what is being done right now, today, in the name of civilization and here in the U.S.? From CIA Mind Control to spraying our OWN Troops with chemicals and innoculating them with organisms; from the imprisonment and torture of the likes of Les Coleman, and other political prisoners, (I don't know about you, but death would seem to be a lot easier to take than the slow, interminable torture of an Aware Human Being), to the IRS's (and now NSA's) total destruction of many small businesses just for the pure enjoyment of it.

Or how about what our ancestors did to the blacks of their day? Talk about atrocity! I would rather have died a thousand times in somebody's foundation than to have been whipped and beaten, emotionally and physically, and then set up to have it happen every time I might show I had the least bit of a brain!

Or, heck, how about what the Pope did to the Cathars!? Beyond the pale of the worst the human spirit might endure! Or how about what the Medical Doctors drummed up in Salem, Mass. to get rid of the competition: The local mid-wives! Surely they were witches who deserved to be burned at the stake.

And if you've ever been to a slaughterhouse and seen what a cow goes through...when it realizes it is about to be killed... It is excruciatingly horrible.

Or what about what Hitler did...or WORSE, Pol Pot? He made even Hitler look like a saint!!! Would you like me to list his atrocities? No...probably not.

All this makes putting people's bodies in mortar look like real love!

In other words, whether it happened or not really means little except to tittilate our already fear-mongered brains. What it does do is muddy the waters and take our focus off the ball of what is happening in front of us. Solar Storms and pole shifts are happening NOW. And they are a helluva lot more fun, if you ask me!
