Dear PL:
Having read many of your posts, I can understand why you would feel that way: You appear to be the absolute opposite of tau; the perfect polarity. You are grounded by reason; he flies by spirit. Both are required in order that the rest of us might live in the balance. May I explain?

You are the consummate researcher with the extraordinary education. It is clear to me, at least, that you take this education very, very seriously. And you grace us with it by sharing your well researched and documented conclusions. You are, in many ways, the epitome of the Educated Mind. When I read your articles, I find them complete unto themselves. Rarely is there room for Mind to stand and 'wonder' thus creating its own thoughts. You are very, very thorough and well-spoken in your communication. What you do not do is invite others to speculate. In fact, if you'll pardon the observation, you seem rather uncomfortable with the blatant, no holes barred, 'let's fly into the storm and SEE what the outcome is' kind of thinking. Nothing 'wrong' with that. Perhaps it is the 'price' to be paid for such precision in thinking. I would wager that you thoroughly enjoy your Mind set, however, and do not find it a price too high. When we read your articles, the road is well-paved and sure. No potholes to maneuver around; no choices to be made. Perhaps one could say that You ARE the spirit of your research. And that that spirit is carefully controlled and contained within it. I, for one, have learned much from your precise documentaries and am grateful that you have shared.

Tau, on the other hand, seems to BE Spirit Itself: When I read tau, Mind HAS to fly. (I've likened him to the incomparable Dan Winter, though I admit tau is somewhat more difficult) Mind has to fly because there is no 'road' to follow: Only an idea here...a big gap...and an idea there. That means Mind must fill in the gaps on its own. What happens to us is this: First of all, we don't have to be totally conversant in what the person is talking about because our own Minds know how to fill it in so we feel involved in the conversation. Secondly, it opens up our own brain stem into Source Itself! Then other things start tumbling out.

Tao's writing is a different experience than yours. We, who are in the middle, get to enjoy you both. You make Mind pay attention; he makes Mind take wing. Now I don't always KNOW what he is talking about. Indeed, sometimes, it is immediate; other times it is total shutdown. But I'll bet there are others that accept the invitation to jump off his 'cliff' and fly just fine even when I remain grounded. We have no clue as to tau's education, except that he certainly seems to know a lot about the monetary system and biblical history; and, seems to have a strong sense of our nature as 'electro-magnetic' beings. I wouldn't want to know because that would take away from the mysteriousness of the energy he presents.

Do you remember the movie, BEING THERE, with Peter Sellers? It was about the gardner named Chauncey whose entire education had consisted of watching television in the 50's/60's and working in the garden. From that, he had developed a view of the world that was quite limited verbally, but HUGE in spirit. Everyone around him with all the great educations become so enthralled with his wit and apparent widsom because he sees the world as a garden, that he ends up being an advisor to the President.

Now I'm not suggesting that tau is a Chauncey. But I do think the reaction from us is similar. He is making us better, because he forces Mind to Fly on its own. To take wing in order to understand him just as Chauncey did to the Powers that Be. And remember Chauncy DID walk on water...for the same reason Schroedinger's Cat did: Because he didn't know he couldn't!!!!

In the same way, tau dares to write on these pages even though he does not carry the gift of rigorous correspondence. Instead, like the blind man whose sense of hearing becomes extraordinarily acute, he brings the gift of 'creating DOORWAYS' into our own Spiritual Essence. He never makes me feel that he is being dogmatic...only that he is offering an opportunity to FLY.

And for that I thank him...and I thank you too. I like being in the 'middle' and capable of experiencing both your realms of Reason and Spirit.
I would like to add that none of this has been intended as a judgment. It is just my humble observations about my own response to the Journey we seem to offer each other here.
