pedania or padania, robinhood, is a non official term of what officially is called a part of piemonte, lombardia, emiglia romana and veneto, all nothern parts of italy, in part ex france and ex austria.

i am posted in rome untill next year then i will make my bags and return to bregenz, austria, on the german/austrian/swiss border,lake of constance.

even if the independency seeking party "lega nord" has their own parliament and other structures, they have no legal value. the party has acutally a share of 5 % of the total italian votes. it used to be stronger. but the leader of lega nord was "calmed" dwon by the establishment and most likely by his past.

of course you never know, history is, as we know, not a statical but a dynamic process.

the independcy of the north of italy would cause world wide some stratgeical challenge. if it is good for europe that's an other question. it was speculated if the "lega nord" was in secret sponsored by the germans and austrians. of course i don't know this but i rather think this a fantasy.
