Observed at 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time today, from an excellent vantage point in Hamden, New Haven County:

two long contrails dispersing in the upper atmosphere, on another clear day with blue skies and low humidity; one trail was all finished and the second trail was being laid down at that time, well to the west of central Connecticut and moving from north to south by appearance.

Observed at 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time today, a third contrail very well up in the air but nearer than the two chemical trails noted in the early afternoon. Again, the pattern was apparently north to southwesterly, with three apparent breaks in the spray pattern, so that it looked very much like three long dashes in the sky above.
