Breaking Story on the Standoff in Trinidad, TX

Over the years, Alex Jones has interviewed John Joe Gray various times on his radio programs. Representing his family, Mr. Gray has explained that his is a Christian and that he and his family simply do not want to be a part of the corrupt government’s system. To this means, he and his family have no drivers’ licenses and no tags on their cars.

The Grays have been subject to on-going harassment. Evidence now shows that County of Henderson, Texas wants their valuable property on the Trinity River. Yesterday Alex received word that the situation had worsened and that a standoff was in the making at the Grays’ property.

Upon learning that the situation had worsened, Alex left for Trinidad. He arrived at approximately 11:30 PM. Housed within the property were Mr. Gray with his wife, children and grandchildren – a total of ten adults and seven children (ages 3months to 7 years).

The only ‘bunker’ on the property is for the seven children. It is clearly marked with a large red sign stating "kids." This has been done to protect the children so than none will be killed. The 10 adults plan on staying above ground and defending the property. John Joe Gray has stated that he will protect his property unto death and that his back has been pushed against the wall.

Alex has stated: "this is not a cult, just Christians that believe the government and court systems are corrupt…" "No more Wacos. These types of attacks on innocent people who just want to be left alone should not be tolerated. This is a dangerous precedent being set by a tyrannical government."

While on-scene, Jones witnessed as wireless surveillance cameras marked "covert operations" were dismantled. Shots have been fired over the past four days.

Reporter Paul Michael Mueller for NBC Channel 56 out of Tyler, Texas told Alex last night at the scene that he had talked with the police in Trinidad and that a multijurisdicational task force was set to move in on the Grays at sunrise. He offered that he thought that the huge response from listeners to Alex Jones’ radio program on the GCN, many who showed up in Trinidad, might have led to the fact that the officials backed down this morning.
