IBM CORPORTATION A CONVICTED FELON BY THE USA IN 1998

During the tenure of Louis Gerstner, the CEO of IBM, this corporation became a convicted felon.

IBM pleaded guilty of unlawfully exporting more than 16 supercomputers to the premier Russian weapons laboratory, plus a host of communication equipment that are being used between these supercomputers.

Since you cannot put a company in jail, IBM paid the maximum fine of $8,500,000. The disturbing fact is that, it was in the news for just one day and it was announced on Saturday...the worst of all news days.

This computer sale occurred in 1996 and 1997. The equipment was covertly sent to the Russian Nuclear Facility called Arzamas-16. When the USA government asked the Russian government to cooperate in this investigation, they refused.

These super computers are in the RS/6000 class, which are very capable of DEEP COMPUTING projects and are presently used for military purposes.

Here are some examples of how these IBM machines (RS/6000) are presently used: 1) designs of nuclear weapons, 2)designs of MASERS.. non lethal weapon systems, 3)information warefare and encryption systems, Data mining for intelligence purposes, 4) psychological warefare experiments via data transfers, 5) plus anything you can think of...these machines are capable of solving many many miltary problems, and are used exclusively for and by the Russian military.

There were also two fiber channel switches and related hardware and software sent. The Russian are very capable of rending any back doors on the system useless. Hence it is truely an offensive and defensive weapon system.

The transfer of this equipment was done via an old COLD WAR approach. IBM in the USA shipped them to a european company. These computers were then transported by truck from the Netherlands to Russia.

This is how IBM tried to slip through the export control laws. They got caught by the USA government officials. Remember, IBM is very very cunning, so they took a plea bargin of a $8,500,000 fine and made it hush hush.

If IBM can willing and knowlingly, hurt its birthplace -- the USA. What is IBM capable of doing to the citizens of the USA and the world?
