I have not read Ben's post as I just got power back about 2 hours ago. It was out about 48 hours. Power companies are saying 6 more days for some areas before power is restored. I'm on the line with the hospital, so we usually get it back pretty fast. However, what we experienced was just like every other hurricane I have lived through here in SC. Not nearly as bad as Hugo, but we had torrential rains and wind here about 90 miles from the coast. Neighbor sent pictures of our little beach house and the water line is about 12 inches up the front wall which means it flooded (slab foundation). It's less than 100 yards from the water's edge. In Hugo it was 5 feet! Anyway, it looked like a hurricane from here. Still like Ben, though. We'll continue on.

I live in Charleston, SC. Hurricane Matthew could have been a whole lot worse, it lightened up after it left Florida. Beaufort, SC is in a state of emergency, you cannot return there. Colleton county has 11,000 people without power (written evening of 10-10.) Edisto Island, SC was also shellacked. What about Haiti?

Been trying to find hope out there in alternative media land but they smack this on us - seriously. Jim Stone said the same thing, "Matthew was probably not a hurricane when it reached Florida."

I'm a subscriber to B. Fulford's weekly report and it seems the last few reports have had some obviously ridiculous statements. Reading his blog at the site discusses the possibility that its not Ben.
