: You may recall actress Lynn Bari's role as a rather 'dragon
: lady', Vivian Dawn, in 'Sun Valley Serenade', an excellent
: romantic comedy film with Sonja Henie and John Payne. Lynn
: often specialized in playing the femme fatale, mankiller
: type roles and did very well with such parts.

: The story goes that the excellent actress, Lynn Bari, had a
: fear of guns and had to work with fake prop guns, of
: course, in her lengthy career. Like those who conquer their
: fears of flying, Lynn apparently conquered her fear of guns
: to the extent that she could, at least, operate and do her
: scripts and roles with fake guns.

: Lynn could look exotic and foreign (Blood and Sand), or take
: on a nurse's role and uniform (SHOCK), or blend right in
: with a regular western (Overland Trail), and, could even
: look like a haunted, bereaved widow (The Amazing Mr. X), so
: she was a very versatile actress which must have enabled
: her to perform in about a hundred fifty motion pictures in
: addition to television roles. She has two stars on
: Hollywood's Walk of Fame, one for movies and one for
