'Lisa' & 'Rear Window' Theme are Franz Waxman's Last Creations for Hitchcock - Music VIDEO - Comment

No wonder (Grace Kelly's) character, Lisa Freemont approved of the composer-neighbor's "enchanting" music in Hitchcock's 'Rear Window' at the sleep-over - it was written especially for her by Franz Waxman who wrote the theme to 'Rear Window', reportedly his last musical compositions for Hitchcock.

Later Bernard Herrmann would provide the familiar stirring chords to several Hitchcock films such as 'Vertigo', 'Marnie', etc..

'Lisa' is a warm, hauntingly beautiful and stirring orchestration that is certainly worth at least one listen!
