United Nations Panel ruled in favor of Julian Assange confirming that the founder of WikiLeaks was "unlawfully detained", reports BBC.

From WikiLeaks report that they are waiting for official confirmation.

Assange has previously said that in the case of a favorable judgment he will request "immediate" return of passport and stop of the trials to arrest him.

Assange has filed a lawsuit in 2014 against Sweden who has charged him with rape and against Great Britain because of "unlawful detention".

Assange remains imprisoned in the Embassy of Ecuador, where he is from 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden where he faces allegations of sexual assault.

The founder of "Wikileaks' fears that, from Sweden, he will be extradited to the United States due to the release of sensitive US military documents in 2010, representing the largest leak of information in the history of the United States. Assange earlier today said that he will allow to arrest him if the UN panel decides that was lawfully arrested.
