I like this. Sounds like the planet of my 'Platypeens'. Platypeenus, where they speak Platypeenish.

There is a planet, a little bigger than ours, the population is static by cosmic order, of a billion. Kinda like the Georgia Guidestones, but only twice as many. The planet is temperature controlled, villages are maintained at 500 humongous dwellings along the coasts with three stories, and seven bedroom minimum that hold more than one family. The interior lands shall remain wild. The minimum acreage per household is ten, and everyone is required to maintain orchards and a minimum of three diverse greenhouses with vertical farming. No animals will be raised for slaughter, though eggs, milk, (molted) feathers and hair is OK, and the animals will be treated very well. Vegetarianism is encouraged but not mandated. If you do want meat, you will hunt, kill and clean the animal yourself, and the animal killed must be at least 5 kilometres from the village. Domestic and service animals will only be killed for the sake of euthanasia, then fed to the village dedicated carnivours.

The households are mostly agricultural, with one craftsperson living in each household, be they cobbler, glass worker, tailor, canner, what ever.

All creatures are egg layers, marsupial, or both; including those corresponding with people. There is no monetary economy, and everyone works for the best of the community in the Ubuntu way. The species correlating with people look kind of like us, but they have prehensile tails that correspond to how tall they are.
