Twenty years ago, I wrote my first book about why women can't "have it all," or at least all at once, despite what the culture tells them. (Hint: It's because no one, male or female, can perform two full-time jobs simultaneously without the bottom falling out.)

At the time, the so-called Mommy Wars were raging. Women everywhere who'd been sold a bill of goods by their feminist mothers and mentors were either lamenting the futility of being able to successfully work full-time outside the home while maintaining a healthy marriage and family life, or they were defending their choice to work full-time by insisting children do fine in round-the-clock substitute care.

Since then, the messages to women about how to have a happy life — as it relates to love and sex, work and family — have merely served to make women miserable. Not only are they unhappier than their mothers and grandmothers ever were, they're significantly more stressed out; much more so than men.

I am a feminist. (Well, a nose-isist; really.) To me, feminism is self determination for all; not lowering standards, or plastering everyone who isn't a chick. I'm also not for affirmative action. I'm for hiring the most qualified. (And being I've been living the 'burnesha lifestyle' all my life, and I did used to do incredible amounts of overtime, and still do 12+ hour shifts where I work on weekends to make ends meet, I run most of the errands because my mate doesn't drive, not to mention other household crap like unclogging the drains and all other gross stuff, I can identify what some of the males are saying in the comments. There is something I read somewhere a while back. . . 'If chicks stopped working, the world would slow down. If males stopped working, the world would stop,' I think the wording was a little different, but face it. It's true.)

I must confess I have nothing but contempt for parasitic, high maintenance, entitled females. Those are some damn expensive fashion accessories who just ain't worth it. Dayam, Farraris are cheaper in the long run.
