The petri dish, called earth, has evolved a species capable of destroying the petri dish, and killing all living. Earth evolves life, supports and sustains life, but its most evolved species, humans, may not have the intelligence, will and wisdom to stop its own genocide.

The earth will survive humans, but humans may not survive humans. The petri dish will survive.
