(The Nutrition Watchdog) I have to go on a little rant today, because as a nutritionist, I'm fed up with hearing all of this BS about "plant-based" everything these days.

Everywhere you look the media and big companies are labeling everything and anything "plant-based" as if that somehow means that something is healthy.

First of all, "plant-based" is a garbage term that has almost no meaning if you think about it...

Personal Fundraiser Update: Thanks to some wonderful souls I am surviving so far and I also have an inexpensive but very good larger computer monitor where I can see again from my zero gravity type chair. What an awesome difference - instead of dreading getting on the computer I can now look forward to it!

More good news is that I am working to re-vitalize my website and re-establish my online presence which in time should get me to the break even point and beyond. The bad news is that it is going to take time - likely more time than my overly optimistic plans had in mind. I had to finally admit to myself that gone are the days when I could work 12 to 16 hours a day for days on end AND had a partner helping me. It is only me now (and my two found dogs) and I am only able to do so much. But I WILL get it done in time.

Some potentially very good news is that I think I have a fairly well-paying part-time work at home job lined up - one where I can choose my own schedule provided I work a minimum of 15 hours per week. However, it does not begin until after training and training does not begin until January 6th (3 hours per day M - F). So it looks like it is going to be awhile longer before I will be able to get my income back to a survivable level. Maybe another month and a half before I can finally end this damnable, humbling and yes, humiliating begging. I so very much look forward to that day.
