In no place have I seen it said that Jeffords became a DEMOCRAT. Everything has mentioned that he became an INDEPENDENT. Now, I like to think of my self as an 'Independent' and I am certainly NOT a Democrat either. Indeed, I tend far more toward the Republican ideology at least fiscally, than the Socialist Democrat...yet I am neither. Why is the idea that there are more possibilities than TWO so hard for us to conceive in this country?

Thus, I ask: why do we keep referring to the fact that if Jeffords left the Republican Party that he MUST be a Democrat? Is it not possible that maybe he left because he has a conscience after all? Perhaps he is like most thinking Americans and just believes in LIBERTY!? Maybe the Man woke up one day and realized that BOTH THE REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS Stood for the Trinity: In the name of Greed, Power and Money!!!! And maybe he said, "I can't live with my self anymore."

I am socially a liberal and fically a conservative. What that means is that I believe that what I do, when and how I do it is nobody's business but my own as long as I do not physically harm another. Period. AND that I should not be forced to pay for someone else's welfare as I would not ask them to pay for mine. Another 'Period'!

What I'm trying to say is that I wish the entire Congress would wake up tomorrow morning and leave both the "Socialist Democrats" and the "Socialists Democrats in Sheeps Clothing"i.e, the Republicans. Yup, I wish they would all leave their parties and start BEING real people who would make only ONE law: To nullify all the laws on the books and start over, from scratch! Take us back to the Original Constitution but this time WITHOUT slavery of ANY KIND FOR ANY REASON.

AFTER ALL, How do we know that Jeffords is threatened NOT because he is a Liberal, but because he JUST MIGHT BE THAT RARE COMMODITY, the (even slightly) honest man who happens to be WAKING UP? After all, we can't have one of those running around. Heavens! Such a 'virus' might be catching, after all.

Maybe I'm being Pollyanna here, but what if a Man of Character stood up one day and shook your hand...would you even recognize him? ...and as such, how do we know we have recognized Jeffords?
Okay, maybe he is the biggest slimeball on the planet...but what if he isn't...what then?
