(I agree about Jerry Hardin; I've missed him ever since they
killed off his character. :)

It would seem that way, I guess, from where you're standing.
But no, it's not about "relaxing".

It's about shifting "life support" from the Gnu Whirled Odor
crew, and applying it somewhere else. It's about no longer
choosing between the several "assigned roles" they've scripted
for us in their Hegelian Dialectic stage play, and taking on
a different role entirely, one that's not in their script.

Reframe it and think of it thisaway: The Gnu Whirled Odor crew
want us sucked into their sphere of influence. We foil that
purpose if we stay outside of it, spiritually.

The post that appeared just prior to yours, "Humanity at the
Threshold", has got it pretty well covered, actually. It
suggests this is _not_ "a struggle between good and evil", but
a choice between continuing on the path of materialism (by
which is not so much meant "Nintendo" but "lack of any regard
to or awareness of the spiritual; the fantastical imagination
that the material, physical world is all there is and all we
need to concern ourselves with").

That "material stuff", as you pointed out from another angle,
is "the mess of pottage" for which many/most have relinquished
their birthright. It's not about "stupid luxuries", though;
it's about orienting to the material versus orienting to the
spiritual in daily living.

The "elite", whoever they are, are like "the prophets of Baal"
in their contest with Elijah on Mt. Carmel in the Old Testament
- they put on a good show, and know lots of tricks; but the
tricks they know are _about_ the material world, not about the
spiritual one - that's why they are "tricks", and not "the real
thing". (Ponder: Who, in the Bible, is "the Deceiver"?)

For as long as the "prophets of Baal" can continue to fool us
into thinking they have "real power", we are drawn by them into
the material world where they have sway. But we have the choice
to "come up higher", to "come out of her, my people", and find
an altogether different experience than the one scripted for us.

That different experience involves an orientation to, and
increasing alignment with, Spirit, that which infuses and
activates Form in the first place. It is less visible, but
omnipresent; less tangible, but of greater power. Without it,
the material world would not exist. ("Nearer than hands;
closer than breathing.")

We are being called in these days to that experience indicated
by the words, "in the world, but not of it". In order to accept
that invitation and begin to know that experience in actual
momentary living, it's necessary to cease embracing the material
trappings the Gnu Whirled Odor crew are so adept at manipulating.
Not "Nintendo", particularly; but all the "wars and rumors of
wars", and all the disinformational clues they've set out for us,
to distract our attention from the real choice we're being invited
to make: "Come out of her, my people."

: That is what it seems to me, and while I do not doubt their
: sincerity I question their tactics.

Understandable - because this is not a tactic. This is a
choosing to go higher, leaving their game behind entirely.

I say that indeed we are free.

(hehe) Since I have neither, I'll consider the question moot. :)

Express the spirit that is Truth in their momentary living.

Personally express the spirits that are Truth and Freedom
in their individual living - something that is hard to do,
impossible actually, if one can be tricked into believing
one is _not_ free and therefore cannot be free until such-
and-such conditions can be brought to pass.

Indeed, and that's how the Gnu Whirled Odor crew, the
"prophets of Baal", would like it to be. Their 'game',
if played, has no answers in it.

"The only way to win is...to choose not to play."

That may sound like "relaxing". :) But where it leads is
to the "feet of fire" as described in "Humankind at the
Threshold".
