Rumor Mill News WAS started as a magazine -- Magazines have ads to help pay the cost of producing the magazine. Right now Rumor Mill News is an e-Magazine and most of the e-magazines or e-newspapers that I read have ads.

I am sorry if the ads offend any of you.

Let me share some personal facts about me -- Rayelan Allan, the sole Publisher, Editor and writer of Rumor Mill News -- and my finances.

For two very long years I could not work due to pain, exhuastion and a sleep disorder. I was injured and the doctors could not find the reason for the pain.

At the moment, I have recovered enough to go back to work. Without the ads, I will have to work full time which will mean there will be no time to update Rumor Mill. With the ads, I will only have to work part time. The choice is, Rumor Mill plus ads -- or No ADS and NO Rumor Mill.

Many people who are first time readers to Rumor Mill don't know who I am and what I have gone through since 1989.

Let me put it this way:

I was married to George Bush's number one political prisoner, CIA operative Gunther Russbacher.

At the time I married him, I owned a home, had a steady income which would have exceeded $100,000 in 1989 -- the year of our marriage.

During our marriage, I could not work because I never knew from day to day if there would be hit orders out on me forcing me to go into hiding again. Because of this, I was forced to sell the house, sell the cars, sell my jewelry, sell my clothes, sell everything of value that I owned, just to pay the phone bills, and the rent.

There were times that I stood in food lines for food!

Once you have sunk as far down as I did, it is very hard to get back on your feet.

It has been four years since Gunther disappeared. When he turned up he was married to another woman -- Somewhere between countries and prisons, he forgot that he had ever been married to me. He has no memory whatsoever of what I did to keep him alive. At the time he married Jane, he didn't even know that he and I were STILL married.

Gunther and I started Rumor Mill in 1996. We were planning to take it world wide at the time he disappeared. Needless to say, someone did not want Gunther Russbacher running a world wide magazine.

Gunther's old friends keep me up to date on what is going on in the world, and because of this, I decided to try to keep Rumor Mill alive. At the time I put Rumor Mill up on the web, I was working at an hourly wage job. But then I was injured and ended up on disability. The disability ran out a year ago, but I was still not ablE to go back to work due to pain, exhaustion and a sleep disorder.

I have had no income other than books orders.

I publish Rumor Mill on my own. I have help from friends who donate their time, but I assure you, we are not part of any larger group that subsidizes us. I was just out of bankruptcy when Rumor Mill was started. The costs of keeping it going, and helping other political prisoners, has kept me close to the edge of bankruptcy.

Many people think that Rumor Mill is part of some large group that has unlimited financial backing. The truth is, Rumor Mill was started by a woman who had been bankrupted because she was married to a whistleblower. It was started with nothing, and there is still nothing in the checking account.

Without the advertizing, Rumor Mill will cease to exist. If there is a benefactor out there who wants to endow Rumor Mill -- with no strings attached -- then, I can get rid of the ads. But until such a windfall falls in my lap -- the ads will have to stay.

Vince's articles will be taken down. I don't know when. But if anyone wants to save any of them, you had better do it now, because they will be gone soon.

I sincerely hope that his comment ,"It will come back to bite you" is not a veiled threat.

If anyone knows how to make money "the right way", and still keep Rumor Mill independent, and give me enough time to devote to writing and research, then let me know.

I could go back to work doing what I did before I married Gunther, but it is a job that requires 100% of my time. I could probably be making a million a year right now. But I choose to do Rumor Mill because I believe that it is helping to wake people up. When enough people are awake, I believe "The Hundredth Monkey Syndrome" will occur, and we will be able to change the world in the blink of an eye -- and change it for the betterment and highest good of everyone.

Since the change in the front page of Rumor Mill News and the addition of the ads, in a little over one month, Rumor Mill has gone for about 400 hits a day to almost 7,000 hits a day... and everyday this figures grows by about a thousand.

A special thanks to the webmaster@surfingtheapocalypse.com for creating the simplified webpage format and helping me learn how to do my own webpage. Without her, Rumor Mill would still be getting about 400 hits a day and would have NO ads.
