I understand your sentiment. In an ideal world folks like Rayelan would not need to concern themselves with these ads. However, even a 50 cent newspaper costs over $10 to produce -- it is the advertisers paying that extra $9.50 for you. It's the same with magazines. This is the way news media is funded. Same with tv news, and all those commercials.

I encouraged Rayelan to more fully utilize the ads because I too am ill and have a limited income, so I wanted the opportunity to toss my coin in the cup with a banner click here and there. I even have forwarded a couple ads to family I knew were interested in a specific product, to support Rayelan's sponsors. This opportunity for me to contribute is of value to me on a personal level.
