Having watched long summer shadows emerge from deep mountain valleys this evening, hearing the mandolin and banjo pick away around their creeping crawl, I came into the cafe tonight and find this...

grass monkeys and tension in the tethers. Okay.

But something started to steep from the odd relationship of those two metaphors, something that wanted knowing. Something that wanted to remind a butterfly that she flys once the cocoon is left drying, golden beads and all.

Now, I realize that you declared yourself off topic, but I suggest that you are not. The creeping out of truth is like shadows emerging in late summer evening, with string instruments inviting the metaphor to play along, to dance or seek expression through the words of a well-worn tune. A comedy of the absurd is a sign, usually, of some wonder emergant.

I would think that members of our illustrious congress believe it best to tie down their tents against the wind, or have very stiff poles made of special metals, while the so-called grass monkeys slip and disappear inside those "tents". If there were tensegrity in our Congress, what filaments (of what ? particles) would provide the intension?
The intention placed in each individual vote?

The ability of human beings (composed of cells) to function as a whole will work only with correct "tension in the tethers." What would one believe to be the most advantageous type of ORGANized body (republic, etc.) to hold form against the wind?

Feather-shaped ones?

I layed this out over a solar storm, with Ranier busting at the seems, and think incredibly, the solemn face in the square crop circle is completely out of character with the wild swoops of song the circlemakers have made this summer.
