The IBM corporation sell super computers to the chinese Intellignce in the gray area of the law and the US DoE funds it.

The last generation supercomputer becomes a commerical production, and the chinese intelligence buys it.

This super computer technology is initially financed by the US Government in particular the Department of Energy. Consider what an IBM spokesman said:

"In October, for instance, IBM delivered ASCI Blue - an RS/6000 SP computer, capable of nearly 4 trillion calculations per second - to the U.S. Department of Energy. Super-fast computing continues to advance: IBM is scheduled to deliver a follow-on system - ASCI White - early in 2000, which will be capable to 10 trillion calculations per second."

The previous generation of the RS 6000 SP now becomes a commerical product. As an example, IBM in Hong Kong sells one super computer to the University of Hong Kong.

Also IBM has deep computing projects in HK and in the PRC. The latter being through their Research Center in the PRC.

Consequently the chinese physically have in their country including HK, the hardware and software for projects such as Echelon.

All from money and development at the expense of the USA. Gerstner, the IBM CEO, is lobbying through Podesta Associates, the White House for technology transfers in the super computer and computing area.

The software in this area is called "Deep Computing" and is involved in data management, databases, mathematics, etc. for hugh amounts of data - all of which are an integral part of NSA's Echelon.

The chinese intelligence got nuclear warhead designs from the DoE at LASL. Now via the IBM/DoE at LLL, the chinese intelligence is getting project Echelon. See a lower post for the NSA involvement with IBM.
