Alan Dershowitz is asked, in a Monday morning interview on the situation in Iran, if he believes President Trump’s tough stance helped lead to the protests.

Dershowitz replied, “Well, one hopes so. I think ‘president’ Obama made it clear that he was going to stand behind the Iranian regime, he was going to send them lots and lots of money, of course some of it was their own money, but still, they used it to foment terrorism, to export terrorism around the world. And I think President Trump has indicated that he will not stand behind the Iranian regime.”

He continued, “Look, the Iranian regime is failing. The people there are hungry despite the infusion of cash. They want a change. We can’t do very much to bring about a change, at least overtly. One hopes that the CIA may be operating behind the scenes and lending some support, but this is something that will happen in Iran. The United States will only be able to have a limited role and hopefully will be a positive role.”

Dershowitz adds, “I think the President can also try to engender international support for the real people of Iran. Look, Iran is the most secular, democratically-oriented group of people in the Middle East. They have been repressed now for so many years by the Ayatollahs. If they had their wishes, if they had a genuine election, they would overthrow this regime of religious thugs and substitute a real democracy.”

He says, “I hope that the international community will show some support for these brave and bold people instead of just standing by and supporting the Iranian regime.” Maybe Pope Francis will depart from his efforts to spread Islam throughout the world and speak against the Iranian state terrorist government rather than denouncing the good Christians whose conquest he’s orchestrating.

Maybe not. It appears that Francis is the chief offender among those Dershowitz was referencing. The Iranian people will get President Trump’s help in shaking off the yoke of Islamic tyranny, further providing the globalists of the world with a reason to despise and ridicule him, but none from Obama’s partner in crime, Pope Francis.

For his part Francis issued his customary attack at the West in the form of a postcard of two child survivors of the blast at Nagasaki, absent any reminder that the Japanese were the aggressors. With his thinly-veiled attack on America Francis delivered more of his agitation for open borders, unrestricted immigration and a global Islamic government. It’s the very situation the Iranians are marching in the streets to reject. No wonder Francis has chosen to ignore that kind of negative press.

Actions speak much louder than words, including the falsehoods spewed by an anti-American globalist hypocrite. In this instance the Democrat Dershowitz, by virtue of his honesty, is speaking a more virtuous message than the lying impostor residing in the Vatican.
