Nothing about the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding makes sense, even the fact that the two high-profile celebrity superstars are getting married is quite odd and inexplicable (we do wish them well).
First: Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania; Travis Kelce was born in Westlake, Ohio, so why in the world get married in New York City?!

Second: Why get married at Madison Square Garden unless you are there for one thing and one thing only—to put on a YUUUUUUGE show (because that’s what MSG is all about—a HUGE venue to stage “The Greatest Shows On Earth” over the decades?

Third: Why get married on July 3rd of the most important national holiday weekend in our lifetime—the United States Semiquincentennial? The wedding and star-studded reception actually coincided with “A Capitol Fourth” which was — BY FAR — the best production in 46 years and most authentically patriotic event ever held in Washington, D.C. Fourth: Why invite over 1000 people to a wedding, many of whom you do not even know, especially when so many were obviously solicited for their raw star power? For example, the list included Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, Camila Cabello, The Chicks, and Gracie Abrams.

Actors: Bradley Cooper, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, and Ethan Hawke.

Musicians: Machine Gun Kelly, Ellie Goulding, the Haim sisters and many others.
Athletes: Tom Brady, George Kittle, and Andy Reid. Plus Patrick Mahomes (along with his wife, Brittany), Chris Jones, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, Kareem Hunt, and George Karlaftis
Others: Models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss, plus comedians Jimmy Fallon and Adam Sandler, who also officiated

Fifth: Really, Adam Sandler was ‘Chosen’ to officiate this extremely performative wedding extravaganza—makes sense. Why else would anyone ever select a comedian like Sandler, whose name appears in the Epstein files, to marry you?! Is this a way of telling the American people that the joke is on US? (you know, goading us into our perennial voyeurism and obsessive preoccupation with the Celebrity Society instead of taking care of our own business like urgently saving our Republic).

Sixth: What woman, or man, would ever want to have their sacred marriage in the most profane and public, secular and vulgar, coarse and crude setting like Madison Square Garden??? A dark and dank, enormous and ugly, stinky and smelly arena just like the Colosseums, which were all about one thing and one thing only—“bread and circuses”.

So what we’re really talking about is an event last night that was really designed as a DISTRACTION ON SUPER STEROIDS.
