BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | June 15, 2026: Israeli officials feel sidelined by the emerging US-Iran peace deal being talked about, and are furious with what they believe amounts to a “catastrophe” that fails the objectives set prior to the war, according to a report by the Israeli Ynet news.

Tehran insists that the deal put an end to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, where Israeli forces continue to fight and have occupied a significant chunk of territory. - US officials seek an agreement that underlines “broad regional peace” – including in Lebanon, but some insist that Israel reserves its right to self-defense.

Israeli outlet Ynet, citing multiple senior Israeli officials, revealed on Saturday that West Jerusalem believes that the agreement taking shape falls short on every major Israeli redline, such as: nuclear dismantlement, missile limits, and the rollback of Iran’s regional allies. “Trump screwed us,” one Israeli official told Ynet, with a second official calling the deal “very bad.” And “From our perspective, it is a catastrophe, because it does not meet any of the principles we spoke about when the war began,” he said.

The Trump agreement does not bind us, said Israeli Minister of National Security Ben-Gvir, and made clear that "Israel is not subordinate to the United States, and we are an independent and sovereign state!" he said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump that Israel will not withdraw troops from Lebanon and does not consider itself bound by the "Lebanese clause" in the US-Iran agreement, the Ynet news reported. And Netanyahu reportedly made it clear that the IDF will remain at their current positions and continue to destroy Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure, and respond to any attacks on Israel.
