Electricity in Space ! Part II

#4. The Eyes Series - NGCs: 7293, 6369, 6751, 2392, 3132, 2818, IC 418, M57.

Here we are looking at nine nebulae from an End-view rather than a Side-view, as we saw them in the Z-Pinch and the P/A Series.

Now, we are looking 'down the barrel', so to speak, of their long cylindrical structures, and we see the central stellar object as the tiny star in the center of a now 'clear and empty' central cavity in the innermost part of the nebula; whereas in the previous Side-views we were mostly unable to see the central stellar object at all, due to an overwhelming amount of intervening plasma, dust, and other material.

Did these 'eyes' once have a similar amount of dust and material closely surrounding their central stellar object ? If so, why and when did it vanish, and where did it go ? Why do the 'eyes' now have a 'clear and empty' central cavity ?

What principles of physics are in operation that cause these 'eyes' to have a 'swept clean' central region that is located in a large 3-dimensional ellipsoid volume, and it's no small volume either, most are at least half-a-light-year in diameter, and some are over one light-year across, whereas most of the Side-view Series show a tightly constricted central area filled with debris that has twin conical cones joined in a mirror-image at their narrowest points, and the entire SGZ is only 1 to 3 light-years in total size, and the dust is right down very close to the central stellar object.

Is it simply that these 'eyes' are much older and more well developed SGZs, and given time will the obscured central stellar object of other SGZs also look like the 'eyes' ? Or is the central object in these 'eyes' an order of magnitude bigger and more powerful, and its radiative power 'blows everything away' and is that why the clear central cavity ? Or is it that the Z-Pinch is waning in constrictive strength in the Eyes Series, and when it wanes in the Side-view Series will their central cavity also grow in size and become large and clear ? Or are the 'eyes' young SGZs, and their Z-Pinch hasn't constricted very much as yet, or is it that it never will ?

In the Side-view Series (Z-Pinch, P/A and Central Object) the volume surrounding the central object is not nearly as large as in the Eyes Series, which raises the question of, do they still look similar but just much smaller ? If we could see a Side-view from its End-view, would it also have a clear and empty central region ? , albeit much smaller than half-a-light-year in size, maybe only 1/50th or 1/100th of a light-year in clear area, but some clear area none the less, or are they really different, and do they have obscuring plasma, dust, and other material right down very close to their central object, say within a few light-hours, or a few light-minutes, of distance ?

It would be too much against probability to assume we only see a certain kind of SGZ from its End-view, and a certain other kind from its Side-view.

As a side note; most of the central region obscured SGZs are much smaller than the 'eyes' SGZs in their overall dimensions.

As example, here is the APOD page for "A Helix Nebula Hubble Deep Field" photo not used herein as 'file size' is too large;

https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap250729.html

For other 'object searches',
Go to this link for the APOD 'search' page,

https://apod.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/apod/apod_search

Then enter the NGC number or other 'name' for the object of your choice to view a list of APOD pages,
each with a photo, of the object !!

APOD has the best photos !!! of these subject objects anywhere !!! Bravo NASA and Mainstream Astrophysics !!! APOD is a superb site for these photos !!! , tho I do have serious criticisms of their 'assumptions', logic and 'adamantly adhering to their dogma' about what's happening there, etc in their 'explanation' section, tho to be fair the 'data' about the object in terms of size, distance away, and location in the sky are most excellent !! to the ability we have to determine these 'numbers' !! so again, well done Mainstream on these types of data !

NGC 6751

Explanation: Stellar Glow-Mode Z-Pinch Nebulae did look simple, round, and planet-like in early small telescopes. But images from the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope have become well known for showing these fluorescent plasma shrouds to possess a staggering variety of detailed symmetries and shapes. This composite color Hubble image of NGC 6751 is a beautiful example of a classic SGZ nebula with complex features, and was selected to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hubble in orbit. The colors were chosen to represent the relative temperature of the plasma - blue, orange, and red indicating the hottest to coolest. 'Winds' and radiation from the intensely hot central star (140,000 degrees Celsius) have possibly created the nebula's streamer-like features. The nebula's actual diameter is approximately 0.8 light-years or about 600 times the size of our solar system. NGC 6751 is 6,500 light-years distant in the constellation Aquila.

NGC 2392

Explanation: To some, this huge nebula resembles a person's head surrounded by a parka hood. In 1787, astronomer William Herschel discovered this unusual planetary nebula: NGC 2392. More recently, the Hubble Space Telescope imaged the nebula in visible light, The featured image of the nebula shows plasma clouds so complex they are not fully understood. NGC 2392 is a double-shelled planetary nebula, with the more distant plasma composing the outer layers with unusual light-year long orange filaments.
This Nebula spans about 1/3 of a light year and is about 3,000 light years distant, toward the constellation of Gemini.

IC 418

Explanation: What is creating the strange texture of IC 418 ? Dubbed the Spirograph Nebula for its resemblance to drawings from a cyclical drawing tool machine, planetary nebula IC 418 shows patterns that are not well understood. The variable central star, changes brightness unpredictably in just a few hours. IC 418 lies about 2000 light-years away and spans 0.3 light-years across. This recently released false-color image taken from the Hubble Space Telescope reveals the unusual details.
