The more diverse the population, the larger the purchasing power, leading to increased demand for goods and services. This, in turn, drives greater capital investment and enhances representation. But is this truly achievable?

Twenty years ago, Africa's GDP was less than $2 trillion at purchasing power parity (PPP); today, it has grown to $12 trillion—six times its 2006 level. If this trend were to continue, by 2046, we could potentially see Africa's GDP reach $72 trillion. If the growth experienced over the past two decades were to continue, Africa might even reach a GDP of $100 trillion in PPP terms.

This discussion compares the birth rates of African populations, which are characterised by producing a larger number of offspring —the R-selection strategy—with those of Western and East Asian populations, which align more with the K-selection strategy, focusing on quality over quantity.
