The Founding Fathers Knew exactly what they were doing when they included the 2nd amendment into the Bill of Rights. They knew there would come a time when an over-bloated tyrannical government would realize they needed to disarm the people if they were going to survive.
The Founders also knew that in order to preserve and protect the other nine amendments, the Constitution and possibly, America herself, the people would need the ability to take up arms if necessary as the Declaration of Independence advises. And, as our very first president explained:
“A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined. But they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them. Which would include their own government.” George Washington
There are, depending on how you count them, 21-23 powers delegated to the federal government. These are laid out in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. That is it. I do not see anything giving the Federal government the authority to regulate ownership or possession of any type of gun or ownership of a weapon of any kind.
We went from 1776 to 1927 before the first gun control measures were legislated. As with the camel’s nose in the tent, that unlawful act of Congress allowed for the further chipping away of our 2nd amendment rights.
Realizing that basic rights of the citizens were needed to ensure that their freedoms wouldn’t be watered down or stripped away, in 1789, Congress transmitted to the state legislatures 12 proposed amendments to the Constitution known as the Bill of Rights. Of the 12 proposed, 10 were ratified. One that wasn’t ratified was Madison’s view that Congress should not be allowed to vote pay raises for themselves without constituents (We the People) being able to register their disapproval. What a shame that wasn’t adopted, along with restraints on all the other perks Congress approves for themselves.
The other amendment had to do with issues of slavery, child labor laws and the selection and powers of the president which were resolved through compromise later.
However, the first ten amendments, as written in the Bill of Rights, were inviolate, meaning not to be altered. As the tenth amendment states:
“The powers not delegated to the United States government by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively or to the people.”
And, as has been confirmed by the Supreme Court on several occasions:
“Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them.” Miranda vs Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 p. 491.
“The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void and ineffectual for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of its enactment and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.” 16 Am Jur 2d. Sec. 177 late 2 d, Sec. 256
“All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury vs Madison,U.S. (2 Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)
“An unconstitutional act is not a law,it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” Norton vs Shelby County 118 US 425 p. 442
So, Mr. Obama and John Kerry, by signing on our country with the UN Small Arms Treaty, were you two committing treason? Neither one of you had the authority to try to water down the 2nd amendment. Neither does anyone else.
Are you paying attention, military, National Guard, State, County and local law enforcement? Are you getting the picture, members of Congress? If any of you attempt to take the 2nd amendment rights away from any citizen, you are the one breaking the law. When any legislator attempts to water down the Bill of Rights, they are ignorant of the Laws of the Land as spelled out in the Constitution and are corrupt.
Try what I did. Ask your law enforcement at any level, what they would do if ordered to confiscate guns from We the People. The answer I got from our County Sheriff was, “I will enforce the law.” Which is a chicken shit way of saying, “I was just following orders. Doing my job.” (Nuremberg Trials.) He got schooled on the Constitution, Bill of Rights and a reminder of the oath that he took. That is how you find out if your sheriff is a constitutional sheriff or just a place holder sucking up to politicians.
“No man escapes when freedom fails. The best men rot in filthy jails. And those who cried “Appease, Appease!” Are hung by those they tried to please.” Anonymous.
So, are there enough of us Awake and Aware to be able to fight if need be, to preserve our rights given to us by God and guaranteed to us by the Constitution? I hope so. As another president said.”Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought, protected and handed on.” Ronald Reagan.
Of course the Globalists want all guns confiscated. They don’t want to have to deal with an angered citizenry. They also don’t want to get shot while trying to confiscate all guns. Look at the recent outcry in Virginia over gun confiscation. Does anyone in power, not understand how a door to door confiscation is likely to go? People are not going to voluntarily turn their guns into the authorities. Intelligent and patriotic law enforcement will not comply with an unconstitutional law.
Just how would we the people take down an out of control, tyrannical government, Jefferson outlined in the Declaration of Independence, if we no longer possessed guns?
Any number of Congress critters have promoted various gun laws to water down the second amendment. It appears that most were Democrat, but not all. And, some people, mostly in blue cities and states, think that is just wonderful. Other countries have confiscated their citizen’s weapons. Yes, and the Totalitarian Tiptoe, as David Icke calls it, went into overdrive. The government in those countries became more and more dictatorial. People might not like what their government did, but other than protesting, had little they could do about. Countries like Australia and the UK have begged Americans not to give up their guns.
TPTB can stage all of the school shootings, mass shootings and political shootings they want. Don’t be moved to give up your guns. It will be your first line of defense. If things really go south, it might be your only line of defense, as most law enforcement will be protecting their own families.
I actually look for the authorities to use drones to take non compliant citizens out. But, are those bullet proof? I would think a high powered rifle with a scope would be a good investment, but don’t just buy a gun. Get some safety training so you know what you are doing. My daughter wasn’t allowed to touch a gun until she took the NRA safety course. More importantly, both of my children and grandchildren have been well instructed on the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, complete with many conversations about our form of government.
Now, it looks like Trump is going to push for some form of crypto money. Like China has? It is way past time to get prepared for what is coming. Don’t look for a savior. The circus barker is only good at making empty promises. Certainly, not in keeping them. Trust the plan? Not hardly.
Any person or company who those in power would use against We the People in any way should be given the same answer the Canadian politicians got when they called towing companies to come haul off the big rigs that were blocking the way.
“Sorry, we can’t help you. We have COVID.”
That is how the people support each other and win this war. And, make no mistake about it. This is war. But if enough of us do not obey unconstitutional directives; if we say, “We will not comply”, if we stand fast together on civil disobedience and peaceful protesting, we will win. Always remember, there are far more of us than them.
